Haywood Community College’s Small Business Center and the North Carolina Department of Revenue will present a free seminar called “Tax Implications” on October 7 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the Auditorium. The seminar will cover the basic requirements to help NC businesses understand the laws and obligations necessary to be a compliant business.
Participants will become familiar with NC tax laws that are pertinent to businesses and the responsibilities of a business owner. The seminar will cover the basics of tax compliance ranging from registering your business to withholding from employees and sales tax and use tax requirements. Information will be provided on a program for businesses that have fallen behind on sales and use, withholding, and other trust taxes.
At the end of the seminar, there will be a question and answer session with the presenter and networking possibilities with other business owners.
