The Small Business Center of Haywood Community College will offer a free HandMade in America Craft Lab, “From Idea to Action: an entrepreneur’s guide to turning your great idea into real-life action,” Thursday, October 9, from 4 – 6pm in the Haywood Community College Creative Arts Building.

Why is it that you come up with your greatest ideas when you're too busy? What happens to those ideas? During this HandMade in America Craft Lab, speaker Tara Swiger will walk entrepreneurs through the entire lifecycle of an idea (from generating great business ideas all the way to completing the project!) and create a personalized plan for capturing your best ideas and then acting on them. No more artist's block or pile of undone dreams!

The Small Business center will also offer additional fall seminars geared toward the artisan business owner:

  • Creating the Image & Crafting the Message, October 21, 10 am- 12 pm
  • Modern Tourism Drivers: authenticity, community and sustainability, November 6, 6-8 pm
