Haywood Community College’s Workforce Continuing Education Department will offer a Medication Aide class November 18 through 20 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
According to Sandy Fischer, HCC Allied Health Coordinator, “A certified medication aide is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) that has completed additional classroom training to be certified to dispense medication to patients. The medication aide is a stepping stone on the professional healthcare ladder.”
Prerequisites for this class are a high school diploma or GED and current listing on the NC Nurse Aide I Registry. Fee for the course is $80. For more information, please call (828) 565-4145 or email@example.com.
