The Haywood Community College Foundation, along with the Financial Aid office, recently held a Scholarship Luncheon at the Canton Armory as a way to recognize donors and allow student recipients to meet those who generously give.
In 2016-17, 281 students were awarded over $340,000. Scholarships are available for Curriculum, Workforce Continuing Education, High School Equivalency, and College & Career Readiness students.
Autumn Willett, HCC nursing student and recipient of the Robert Forga Nursing Scholarship says, “Because of your scholarship, I will be able to concentrate on becoming a competent nurse and one day soon start giving back to the community.”
Haywood Regional Medical Center Volunteers scholarship was awarded to Kassadi Kelley. She says, “This scholarship will allow me to study more and work less. For this blessing and scholarship, I can’t thank you enough. It means so much to me.”
