The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will offer a free seminar called, “Your Small Business Taxes,” Thursday, March 14, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the HCC Regional High Technology Center, room 3021.
In this seminar, attendees will gain a solid understanding of taxes required for small-business owners and develop the best tax strategy for their business. Participants will become familiar with the latest tax forms and procedures for both state and federal taxes. This seminar will show how everyday business decisions can have tax implications that can affect your bottom line. Topics covered will include filing and administrative requirements, sales and use tax law basics, NC withholding tax law basics, how to register your business and how to file and pay online. Your Small Business Taxes is important for both new and experienced business owners.
The speaker is Karen Bargsley of the NC Department of Revenue.
