The Haywood Community College Foundation, along with the Financial Aid office, recently held a Scholarship Luncheon at the Canton Armory as a way to recognize donors and allow student recipients to meet those who generously give.

In 2018, 478 students were awarded over $430,000. Scholarships are available for Curriculum, Workforce Continuing Education, High School Equivalency and College & Career Readiness students.

Alexander Tolini, HCC professional crafts wood student and recipient of the Dr. John T. Beaty Professional Crafts Wood Endowed Scholarship and the Dogwood Crafters Scholarship says, “Finding that others are willing to help with these financial needs is incredibly moving. It instills faith in my choice to be enrolled at Haywood Community College, and ultimately drives me harder knowing that I have a support group to help me through the year.”

The scholarship application period for both summer and fall semester is now open. Students must be registered for classes to apply. Apply for scholarships by visiting https://haywood.academicworks.com.
