The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will offer a free Virtual Social Media/Marketing Summit 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 28. The three-part Summit is designed to build your small business social media presence quick! Attendees may sign up for each individual webinar or the entire series.

The Summit will launch with Growing Your Business with Social Media from 9-10:30 a.m. Social media is the new competitive advantage. This dynamic overview of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, blogging and free online directories will give participants an introduction to how they can be used to give your small business a boost.

The Summit will continue with Facebook for Business from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Facebook is not only the number one social media site for personal information but has become a must for businesses. This session will cover the importance of having a Facebook page for your small business, how to set up and how to monitor it to maximize free exposure to your customers. 

The series will close out with Gaining Business Advantage with Photography &Video from 1-2:30 p.m. The explosion of Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram have proven that photography is a powerful tool to market your small business. This how-to class will teach the basics of digital photography to attract more customers with social media and web marketing. Learn the techniques for being found on the Web by photos, which leads to higher conversion to clients. This class will give participants real-world knowledge that can be used today to increase social media engagement and expand your market. Photography for Social Media is one of the best ways to get more engagement from customers and greater sales.
