Haywood Community College Professional Crafts Clay students recently sent 80 hand-crafted pottery bowls to the Empty Bowl Fundraiser. The bowls are filled with homemade soup and sold to participants. Proceeds from this benefit go to the Open Door Soup Kitchen. These clay students enjoy giving back to the community while perfecting their skills. Pictured are some of the students with bowls they crafted for the event: (left to right, front row) Cathy Babula, Patrick Burke, Crystal Allen, Lisa Fleming, and Kylie Ryan. Pictured left to right back row are: Zoey Snow, Jennie Ford, Rebecca Cattrett, Kim Alvarez, William Brown, and Clay instructor Stephen Lloyd.
Handcrafted pottery bowls in a rainbow of shades and shapes were sent to the Empty Bowl Fundraiser recently. These bowls were made by students in HCC’s Professional Crafts Clay program.
