Haywood Community College students watched their efforts come to life recently at the Open Door Ministries when The Open Door Ministry launched their new learning center. The center will be used by people to access the Internet, learn job skills, search for jobs or homes, and access educational opportunities.
Hours for the center are 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. On-site coordinators are available are available for guidance and tutoring.
The HCC students selected to create the center as their capstone project. Students Lucas Gentry and Colleen Burnette spent numerous hours to make the center a reality.
