SBC Arts & Crafts Webinar Series

 

The Small Business Center at Haywood Community College will offer a free Arts & Crafts based business virtual learning series, 9 -11 am, February 17 and March 10. The two-part series, designed by speaker Martin Brossman, will address the needs and challenges faced by current and prospective craft artist business owners.

Arts-based businesses are unique ventures and require special business planning methods. Take this opportunity to learn skills and get answers on starting, growing and marketing an arts and crafts business. The series will include:

How to Start and Grow Arts and Crafts will be held Wednesday, February 17. During this webinar, attendees will learn how to present themselves as an artist both on and offline to build relationships and market their work. This session will address:

  • How to build compelling stories about your work to attract buyers
  • How to develop a pricing strategy and formula to apply to new artwork
  • Fundamentals for printing on demand
  • Online arts and crafts resources for marketing and selling

Increasing Art Sales Through Strategic Marketing will be held Wednesday, March 10. Apply marketing basics to build a marketing plan to successfully reach, convince and close sales for your arts and crafts business. This webinar will address the following:

  • Identifying and knowing your target customers/audience
  • Choosing the right social media channels to reach your customers
  • Examining your website and optimizing to be found online
  • Determining a pricing strategy
  • Creating great content and storytelling that attracts buyers
  • Creating compelling images and video
