This is a course available to artists of all different skill levels. Through the exploration of hand building with clay, students will learn to create unique utilitarian artworks. Each week students will be learning and working with different hand building techniques to create a minimum of three mugs. Students will create pinch pots, a coil-built mug, as well as a slab-built mug. After learning the basics of hand building in this class, the possibilities for creative discoveries are endless. The cost of the course includes one bag of clay, a small water bucket, a ceramic tool set, and a basic rolling pin.
