Typical painting classes don't always allow sufficient time for working in oil and clean-up. In this course, we will spend some time in this buttery medium. You may also work in acrylic if that is what is available to you. Commit to a weekly practice of how to visually interpret what you see and capture on paper. We will sharpen our artistic skills with painting fundamentals" color, line, contour, shapes, shading, controlling tones, proportion, perspective, and composition. Share studio time with other painters, beginners, creatives, and peers in the area. See the below supply list for supplies for the course.

Three Canvas boards, 9x12 or 11x14 (Michaels has 5 pk $13)

Strathmore Oil Painting Pad (Michaels $20)

Linseed oil (Michaels $9)

Disposable palette paper (Michaels $10)

Baby oil (Walmart 20 oz $5)

Several Brushes for Oils, synthetic or horsehair, prices vary depending on what you buy

Odorless paint thinner (Michaels $15)

Pencils

Empty small jar (4 oz size, like baby food jar) with lid
