Pet and Animal Portraits

Capture your lovable pet or your favorite animal in graphite pencil drawings. The student will work from photographs and explore composition, texture, blending, value as well as other intermediate drawing skills. There will be emphasis on how to capture the personality of the animal and bring it to life. Varieties of paper media, photography tips and how to present and reproduce your finished art will be covered as well. Participants must have experience with basic drawing skills. Materials to bring: 4B and 6B graphite pencils, drawing pad, pencil sharpener, kneaded eraser and optional Bristol paper.
