Recycle and Repurpose Paper Arts

Do you have a stack of old books, magazines, or even junk mail lying around? In this
class, we will use these materials as the basis to create new art projects! Upon completion,
students utilize old books, magazines, and even junk mail to create exciting new art!
Including papermaking, mixed media, and collage! No artmaking experience is required!
Students are responsible for all supplies and materials, and must be purchased from
outside sources. Students cannot purchase supplies, materials, and/or books from the
instructor.) These should cost 45.00 or so depending on where the student sources
their materials.
• Watercolor Palette, add water to activate. Arteza set of 25 is a good palette, Amazon:
$14.99
• Brush set for watercolor and acrylic paints, Amazon: $4.28
• Solid color washi tape, Amazon: $7.99
• UHU Glue Stick, Amazon: $2.30
• Ranger Brand, Archival Ink Pad, any color, Amazon: $7.99
• Any water-based art medium they would like to experiment with color pencils, paint
makers, collage pieces, N/A
• Old Magazines, books, junk mail!
