In this class you will learn to dye a warp with Indigo and weave it into a unique, beautiful project on a floor loom. Beginner experience weaving on a floor loom is highly suggested. We will learn the most basic technique of Ikat, a form of creating resists (or areas that will not take up dye) on our warp to create a blue and white design. The type of indigo vat we will create is quick and ready-to-use the same day. Students have the option to weave a scarf, a table runner, or two placemats depending on their pace.
