Instructor: Giovanni Daina-Palermo
Location: Oak Building, 1406 Tuition: $180.25
This beginners patternmaking class will provide an opportunity for students to draft foundation blocks/slopers for a front and back bodice with darts. These blocks serve as a foundation for creating new patterns.
Once completed you will learn basic patternmaking techniques to manipulate the blocks to draft a simple sleeveless top. We will cover button and buttonholes, facings, seams and dart manipulation.
Intermediate sewing skills are required for this class as you will cut and sew all patterns in muslin.
