Knitting Your First Sweater
Instructor: Anilia Hornsby
Location: Sycamore Building, 7105
Have you learned the basics of knitting but been afraid to tackle a larger project? Fear no more! If you know how to knit and purl, you can make anything! Join us to learn about gauge, chart and pattern reading, cast on techniques, picking up stitches, digital knitting tools, blocking and more. We will start this class with how to pick a pattern and the yarn for it. Then make gauge swatches and do the math to find your perfect fit. Each class will have informational sessions, questions, and time to knit together. By the end of class you'll have a finished sweater (or be well on your way). Students are responsible for their own yarn, patterns, and tools. The instructor will provide samples to explore and assist with choosing a pattern.
