Handmade Wardrobe Studio
Instructor: Amanda Porter
Location: Oak Building, upstairs
The purpose of this class is to learn how to create unique garments using preworn clothing and vintage scraps and materials. This can include old tablecloths, sheets and trims, as well as preloved clothing. We’ll be using just straight or zigzag stitches. We will not be using any sewing patterns. We’ll simply be altering, embellishing, and restyling existing clothing and materials. Bring plenty of items and materials to work on - we’re going to have fun! You can use our sewing machines or bring your own if you prefer. You’ll need basic sewing supplies, including a tape measure and a pair of sharp scissors.
