Weaving: Intermediate Rigid Heddle

Woven cloth project with a patter including white, green, gold, and black yarn sitting on a woden table.

Instructor: Allison Teeples

Location: Sycamore, 7306

What to do with a huge selection of yarn? A yarn stash bust! Awaiting your creativity is a stash of cotton, chenille, wool, acrylic, and an array of textured yarns such as boucle and slub. This course provides an opportunity for novice weavers to gain more practice with the rigid heddle loom with instructor guidance. All weavers can explore different fiber types, textures, and weave structures. Students may design their own projects with a pattern of their choosing to complete during class time. Students should have some previous experience with direct warping and weaving on a rigid heddle loom and may bring their own fully assembled loom.
