Take your basket weaving skills to the next level with Intermediate Basketry. In this class, you will build on the fundamentals you learned in the first session. You will make a Twill Weave Market Basket (a weaving method in which the weaver goes over and under more than one stake at a time. A Cat Head Basket ( a Shaker-inspired basket that includes four feet that look like cat ears). An introduction to ribbed basketmaking by making an Herb Basket, also known as a Pie Basket. Lastly, we’ll tackle the diagonal weave. This basket has a simple 2/2 base and the sides are woven in a diagonal pattern.

Tools to bring: bucket or tub for soaking reeds, ruler or tape measure, cutting shears, pencil, alw or ice pick, towel and/or apron, spray bottle and utility knife for scraping rims.
