Join us for our Essential Wilderness Skills Course, a fun and friendly exploration designed for everyone! Over the course of six weeks, we’ll dive into the fascinating world of wilderness survival skills, learning valuable skills that will not only boost your knowledge but also your confidence in the wilderness. Each week, we’ll tackle a new and engaging topic, from purifying water to mastering the art of building different fires for different situations. You’ll discover the secrets of navigating with the sun, moon, and stars, as well as how to use a map and compass. We’ll share tips on shelter building, knot tying, and even identify edible and medicinal plants along the way!

There will be a lot of walking around the school property so a moderate level of fitness will be required. During the fire skills day, students will be bending over and kneeling quite a bit. This course will be a level 1.5 out of 5 in intensity. Students will need to wear pants with a belt, as well as close toed shoes for this class. Please have any emergency medications on your person such as EpiPen, Benadryl, Sugary snacks if diabetic, etc.
