Jewelry: Garden in Glass Enamel
Instructor: Ilene Kay
Location: Sycamore Building, 7231
Discover the art of enameling as you create a wearable garden in glass. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to prepare copper for enameling and experiment with decorative techniques including sgraffito, stenciling, and the use of glass string. Pre-cut shapes are provided so you can focus on designing and bringing your vision to life. By the end of the session, you’ll assemble your finished enameled pieces into a unique, floral-inspired necklace. Please wear closed-toed shoes. If you have long hair, please have a way to tie it back. Bring a sack lunch. Food and drinks are not allowed in the Jewelry Studio for safety reasons. There is a break room available.
