Make a Fire Poker

Throughout this course, students will learn the skills necessary to forge a fire poker. This project will introduce students to use of a forge and proper hammering techniques. This course will place an emphasis on making the craft of Blacksmithing an enjoyable and attainable hobby for anyone. Students will be allowed to use scrap metal, provided by the school. Students will need to supply their own leather apron, gloves, dust mask, and eye and ear protection.
