Watercolor for Intermediate Students
Location: Sycamore Building, 7105

This class is an extension of the very popular beginning watercolor classes. In this class we will cover watercolor techniques such as glazing, negative painting, and painting textures. Basic knowledge of watercolor painting is necessary.

Supply List:
Paint - TUBES only, no pans
- Payne’s Gray or Indigo
- Burnt Sienna
- At least 2 of each - yellow, red, blue. Suggested color options:
- Yellow - Hansa Yellow, Lemon yellow, Winsor Yellow, Aureolin, Cadmium yellow
- Blue - Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue
- Red - Winsor Red, Scarlet Lake, Vermilion, Carmine
Watercolor paper
- Watercolor Pad - 140lb 9x12”
- Additional watercolor paper will be provided as part of class fee.
Watercolor brushes - synthetic, blend, or natural hair
- #8 round
- #6 round
- 3/4” flat
Palette with wells and large mixing area.
Miscellaneous
- 2 containers for water & brush cleaning
- Paper towels - Viva brand or one with NO quilted pattern or print
- Kneaded eraser
- Note paper and #2 pencil or #B art pencil
- Masking tape - 1/2” or wider
- Ruler
- Fine misting water bottle
- Wood board or Gator board - approximately 11x16
