Moodle is Haywood’s online learning platform. It can be accessed by selecting the image above, through the HCC Portal, and from Haywood’s main web page. Once on the Moodle landing page, select “My Dashboard” to proceed to the log in page which includes instructions for logging in.
When seated face-to-face instruction moves online
Many seated classes remain online in order to comply with social distancing recommendations. Instructions for how a course will work online can be found in the course’s Moodle environment. To find your current course(s), log in to Moodle and proceed to “My Dashboard” as demonstrated in the video below.

The Instructional Design and Online Learning department provides online learning support for students, faculty, and staff. Instruction at Haywood Community College includes access to various digital learning tools, platforms, and resources.

If you are unsure if online learning is a good fit for your educational plan and technical skill level, please view the Online Course Expectations. Online learning requires technology proficency and time management skills beyond that of a seated class.
Ongoing Online Instruction (when registering for future semesters)
Information on HCC’s fully online programs is available through the program contact or HCC’s success coaches. Information on which courses are provided online each semester is available under Students > Course Schedules. New student accounts are generated within 24-48 hours after registering for classes. Several student resource “courses” will be available upon login. All courses will be visible at 8:00 AM on the course’s start date. Course start dates vary, so be sure to check course schedules in WebAdvisor.
